Our Quality Assurance and Referral System

Knowing that we are offering a high-quality service is a very important factor for Inspire Doncaster. We want to be assured that the service our clients receive is an excellent experience both for the families, carers and the client. Keeping in touch with all involved by email, telephone or face to face helps us determine the level of service we are providing. We listen carefully to feedback and take appropriate actions to continually improve.

How to Refer

Who can refer? Anyone can refer - Medical Professional, Social Prescribing, Social Worker, Well Being Manager/Officers, Self-Referrals.

Who can be referred?  People who are socially isolated, those people living with Dementia (diagnosed or undiagnosed), people with memory problems, neurological/learning disabilities, wheelchair users (providing they can transfer themselves-we do not provide a lifting service)

How is the referral made? By telephoning 01302 770662 or emailing

What happens when the referral is received? Each referral is followed up with a phone call within the first few hours, a home visit is then arranged with the potential new client and family members or Health Care Professional (where applicable).

What is the timescale from referral being received to support being put in place? During the home visit the client and their family/referrer are asked their preference on a male/female support worker. Depending if we have availability the timescale can be as soon as 24 hours. We try to keep the same support worker with the client so they bond and establish a friendship. It does take time for a client to trust the person who is befriending them, but we work very hard to develop that trust. We do not have waiting lists.

What follow up is sent to the referrer? We monitor each client over the first few weeks to find out how they are getting on with their Support Worker and we feedback where requested. Any problems/issues are resolved immediately.
