Northeast Indiana's Updated Regional Vision Showcases

Since our humble beginnings, we have built a collaborative region, invested heavily in talent development and building a region with the sites, buildings, infrastructure and quality of place our region needs to compete in the global marketplace.

Northeast Indiana's new vision statement reflects the aspirations and potential of our region. Our region is one that works. We’re business-led, collaborative and committed to growing our region’s prosperity together with our shared vision and focus on driving collective results.

So, what's the vision for the region?

Regional Internship Program Gains National Attention

This year, the Regional Partnership and the internship committee set a goal for the Regional Internship Program for Employers to become a nationally recognized program.

In January, director of the career center at Indiana Tech and committee co-chair Cindy Verduce and Program Manager at the Regional Partnership Sonya Snellenberger-Holm presented the Regional Internship Model at the Thought Leaders Symposium by InternBridge.com.

With more than 50 career services departments from around the country tuned in to the webinar, participants asked insightful questions ranging from how they can replicate our program to how we were able to bring so many regional leaders to the table.

Hosting an Intern? Top 3 Reminders to Help You Prepare!

With internship season coming up for employers and students alike, here are a few important dates to remember.

  1. Thinking about hosting an intern this summer? Consider attending the NIHRA Internship and Career Fair from 3 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at University of Saint Francis Performing Arts Center, 431 Berry St., Fort Wayne. Register your company here.
  2. Post your internship position on IndianaINTERN.net to market your opportunity to talent regionally and statewide.
  3. The Regional Partnership will release the dates for our 2019 Professional Development Series next month. During the professional development series, which is offered to regional employers' interns for free, interns will be able to connect with the community, expose interns to other organizations and provide opportunities to network and socialize.
