The building of trust and collaboration is messy and difficult. The biggest steps forward are through confronting difficult challenges and working through them, even when we disagree. When we disagree and commit to staying together, we become stronger through each challenge. 

Since our humble beginnings, we have built a collaborative region, invested heavily in talent development and building a region with the sites, buildings, infrastructure and quality of place our region needs to compete in the global marketplace.

Northeast Indiana's new vision statement reflects the aspirations and potential of our region. Our region is one that works. We’re business-led, collaborative and committed to growing our region’s prosperity together with our shared vision and focus on driving collective results.

Top 3 Factors for a Successful Business Development Site Visit

Every year, the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership hosts corporate executives, site consultants and foreign delegations with the goal of showcasing Northeast Indiana for potential business investment. These business development trips are often the first experience these individuals with have with our region.

While a site visit is only one step in the overall business development process, when done correctly, it can be the key to winning projects, growing jobs and increasing wages.

Chicago Parent Features Fort Wayne as Top Destination

Cheryl Eugenio featured Fort Wayne in her Chicago Parent roundup published in January titled, “19 Midwest destinations to travel with your family in 2019.” 
Fort Wayne is the first city featured in the roundup surrounding hidden gems in the Midwest that offer family fun, good eats and great places to stay. Cheryl highlights area activities including the Children’s Zoo and Science Central, as well as Tincaps games at Parkview Field and the future Promenade Park. Cheryl also highlights The Yummi Bunni and The Hoppy Gnome as great places to eat, and overall, positions Fort Wayne as a wonderful, family-friendly place to visit!
Chicago Parent is an online and in print magazine that offers inspiration, information, perspective and empathy to Chicago area parents and has been the area’s top parenting resource for over 30 years. Chicago Parent reaches around 130,989 unique viewers monthly.

Regional Internship Program Gains National Attention

This year, the Regional Partnership and the internship committee set a goal for the Regional Internship Program for Employers to become a nationally recognized program.

With more than 50 career services departments from around the country tuned in to the webinar, participants asked insightful questions ranging from how they can replicate our program to how we were able to bring so many regional leaders to the table.
Hosting an Intern? Top 3 Reminders to Help You Prepare!

With internship season coming up for employers and students alike, here are a few important dates to remember.

  1. Thinking about hosting an intern this summer? Consider attending the NIHRA Internship and Career Fair from 3 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at University of Saint Francis Performing Arts Center, 431 Berry St., Fort Wayne. Register your company here.
  2. Post your internship position on to market your opportunity to talent regionally and statewide.
  3. The Regional Partnership will release the dates for our 2019 Professional Development Series next month. During the professional development series, which is offered to regional employers' interns for free, interns will be able to connect with the community, expose interns to other organizations and provide opportunities to network and socialize.
