Welcome to the FIRST edition of

MSV swimmers have been very busy in the first 2 months on 2019. Already we have seen MSV members out and about competing in Victoria in the pool at the 27th Marlins Interclub, the Powerpoints Summer Smash and MS Mega Swim at Fitzroy, and in the Open Water in the Great Victorian Swim Series & other OW events. Swimmers have also been busy interstate with members from 3 Clubs: Doncaster Dolphins, Goulburn Valley Cros and Heidelberg Flyers doing us proud in WA at the Rottnest Channel Swim.  MSV Swimmers were also active in pledging their swims in Australia Swims - Lap Australia. AND along with swimmers heading to South Australia en masse for the National Championships we have 4 Victorian Tech Officials volunteering their expertise: Patrick Gallagher, John Marshall Neil Mitchell & Susie Kempson - Good luck everyone.

Patrick Galvin
Finalist in the VicSport Awards

Malvern Marlins member Patrick was a very well deserved Finalist in the Involve Creative Victorian Masters Athlete of the Year. He achieved a Fina world record in the 100m Breaststroke of 1.49.64 in his 85-89 age group in 2018. He also competed in the MSA and MSV Championships, Pan Pacs and South African National Championships.  Whilst Patrick did not take home the trophy he took home all our respect and admiration.
