AMC 10 Contest
The upcoming AMC10 B contest will be on Feb. 15th, 2018. Since it will be on a Thursday, we would like to check how many students are interested in taking the AMC10 to decide whether and where to host the AMC10.
Please sign up or register through the following link if you are interested in the AMC10 B contest before Jan. 14, 2018. The location and exact contest time will be announced.
NCLS will be hosting the 2018 AMC 10 B February 15, 2017. We welcome high school students as well as advanced middle school students to participate. NCLS will charge $20 per NCLS student and $25 per non NCLS student to cover administrative expenses. Only online payment will be accepted; we accept credit card and paypal.
Due to the venue capacity, a limited number of students will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration will close on Wednesday, January 14, 2018 at 11:59 PM, orwhen capacity is reached. Students may take the 2018 AMC 10 B at only one location. If a student is found to have taken the same AMC 10 B test more than once, that student will be disqualified by Mathematical Association of America (MAA).
Only scratch paper, rulers, protractors, #2 pencils and erasers are allowed as aids. No calculators, food or cell phones will be allowed. Students may bring water to drink. All scratch paper will be provided. Please do not bring your own.
Each time a student misses the exam without providing prior notice, another student loses the opportunity to take the AMC 10/12B. Therefore, if you know that you will not be able to attend, you must let us know as soon as possible and no later than 24 hours prior to the event so that we can take your name off the registration list and provide a spot to someone on the waitlist. No shows will be restricted from registering for future events. There will be no refunds for cancellations.
If registration closes early due to the capacity being reached, and you still wish to particiapte, sign up for the waitlist. Email to registration@newtonchineseschool.org and if a spot opens up, we will let you know via email. Understand that if you fail to respond within 24 hours verifying your attendance, your seat will go to the next person on the waitlist. Lastly, we do not accept walk in registrants. Thank you for understanding!

Registration Schedule, Tuition and Fees of Spring Semester 2018
–Newton Chinese Language School (NCLS)
NCLS Spring Semester 2018 starts on January 28, 2018 and ends on June 17, 2018.
You will see 4 class sessions in your NCLS account:
Class starts at 12:30pm: 12:30 pm – 1:50 pm unless specified in title
Class starts at 1pm: See class duration in title
Class starts at 2pm: 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm unless specified in title
Class starts at 3:40pm: 3:40 pm – 5:00 pm unless specified in title

Registration Procedure
Please notice that there are following changes in spring 2018 semester registration:
2018 registration starts after the Christmas and New Year, on January 2nd. No more holiday hassles.
Two short time periods for an easier registering experience;
All the new courses will be ready to register in January;
Registration must be completed with full tuition payments.
Registration for Spring Semester 2018 will start on January 2, 2018 and end on January 28th, 2018. The registration is divided into two periods:
“Register for Same Course” (老生优先) Period (00:00 AM, January 2, 2018 through 11:59 PM, January 9, 2018). Registration opens to currently enrolled students only. During this period, currently enrolled students can only register the same courses they were taking in 2017 fall semester.
Please notice that your seat in the class won’t be reserved without full tuition paid
. 2. “Open Registration” Period (00:00 AM January 10 through 11:59 PM, January 28, 2018). Registration now opens to all students, including both new and old students.
During this period, the registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Students can switch classes or register new classes. Please notice that your need to pay full tuition in order to reserve a seat in a class by the end of this time period.
Registration Fee
Registration fee is $10 per family account, but it will be waived if all account balance is paid on or before January 18, 2018. Tuition
Tuition per semester for standard classes (16 weeks):
Chinese language courses: $180 and up (1st class $180, 2nd and 3rs class $190);
Singapore math courses: $160 and up (1st class $160, 3rd class $170)
Other classes: $170 and up
Ballroom dance class: $170 and up/one hour class

The cost for textbooks is NOT included in the tuition. Discount
If the total tuition per student equals or exceeds $320, you will receive a $35 discount. This price applies to both children and adult courses. Online Tuition Payment

Book Order
The textbook fee is not covered in the tuition. For language and math classes, students will continue to use the same textbook in Spring Semester 2018, so you don’t need to buy new textbook. If you are a new student, please come to our admin desk in the library to buy textbooks on January 21 and January 28.
