On Wednesday, the City of Ottawa unanimously passed its 2017 budget, which includes an unprecedented amount of spending on cycling-related projects-- close to $60 million. This budget is unique in that it includes money that the city has received from the federal public transport infrastructure fund, and we are thrilled that the City has decided to use some of these funds for walking and cycling projects. Read more about the budget on our website and and learn about some of the great cycling projects we can look forward to being funded this year.

Recap: Lights on Bikes and Our New Safety Video
On November 8th, we teamed up with Safer Roads Ottawa to hand out approximately 650 pairs of lights to cyclists who weren't equipped for biking in the dark after the clocks turned back. If you missed us, check out our new safety video, also produced with Safer Roads Ottawa, to see why a small investment in a pair of lights is worthwhile as you bike through the fall months.
