Tenant Spotlight: Aspire WNY

Aspire has been a tenant of Tri-Main Center for over 10 years. Their mission is to support children and adults with developmental disabilities, helping them to live their lives to the fullest by providing individualized assistance based on personal choices. Aspire is the region’s leader in supporting individuals with disabilities.

One way in which Aspire has enriched our Tri-Main community is through their Pre-Employment Services program.

Bucks for Books, Great Arrow Graphics, The Lunchbox and Tri-Main Development have provided structured internships with the support of an Employment Specialist on site who is there to guide the intern and the employer to achieve a successful outcome for both the business and the people we support. Bucks for Books has now hired one of interns and he has successfully graduated to Employment Services and is earning a paycheck!

Pre-Employment Services offers opportunities for Discovery through Career exploration and Job Readiness to Adults 18 and over.  You may have seen Aspire interns around Tri-Main this summer. They have had several duties, such as, assisting with maintenance and elevator duties or even on their way to their Job Readiness Classes in the 5th Floor Classroom sponsored by Buffalo Arts Studio.
Pre-Employment Services is growing, and they are looking for more opportunities to partner with our neighbors in Tri-Main.

If you would like to sponsor a classroom, assist with teaching skills, offer a job shadow or host an intern please contact Toni Sullivan, Facilitator of Pre-Employment Services, Aspire of WNY at (716)512-6768 or
