March 28 - April 4 | Palm Sunday, Holy Week and Easter

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, the most sacred days of the Church year. This year will no doubt look different to you than years past, but we hope you will find spiritual sustenance in the variety of services and activities we are offering.

Some of the offerings listed below will require registration and others are self scheduled. And, while we are able to schedule more in-person services than at any time in the past year, we know that some of you are still isolating, or are unable to attend a service, so the Altar Guild is offering prepacked Eucharist kits (complete with palms!) for use at home on Palm Sunday and Easter. Home delivery is available. And, as always, our livestreamed services are available for viewing during and after the service on our YouTube Channel. Please remember that masking, distancing and prescreening will be required for all in-person activities and services, regardless of vaccination status.

March 26 and 27 | Eucharist at Home and Palms
Register here for a Eucharist at Home Kit. Pick up will be on March 26, from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m., or on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Home delivery is also available. Registration for Eucharist kits ends at 5pm on Tuesday 3/23/21. Palms will be available for pick up during these times, no registration required.

March 27 | Faith in Action Ministry Food Drive for Farmworkers.

Holy Week | Children’s Formation
The Rev. Mary Cat Young will explain the importance of Palm Sunday during our Virtual Children’s Chapel on Sunday.  We'll continue with daily posts throughout Holy Week at www.cotcchildandfam.org as the Fiores, Murphys and Porters travel with us on our faith-at-home journeys.  The Rev. Elizabeth Marie Melchionna will deliver an Easter message. These posts will be available at 7:00 a.m daily, and archived at the Children and Family website.

March 28 | Palm Sunday
We begin our Holy Week journey with Jesus’ triumphal entry intro Jerusalem with shouts of Hosanna and the dramatic reading of the Passion narrative. Palms are available for pick up in the traffic circle on Friday, March 26, 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 27, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Registration not required for palms.
  • 9:00 a.m. - Livestream Worship
  • 10:30 a.m. - Sunday Adult Formation
This Sunday at 10:30 AM on Zoom, our clergy will introduce Holy Week, the most sacred days of the Church year. This year will no doubt look different than years past—even different from 2020—and so we’ll take some time to explore the different services of the coming week and explain the shape they will take.  You can register for the webinar here or on the Formation page of our website.
  • 4:00 p.m - In-Person Worship outdoors in the churchyard with the Liturgy of the Palms and the reading of the Passion. Registration required.

March 31 | Noonday Prayer
Click here to view the service on our Facebook Page.

April 1 | Maundy Thursday
On this first of the three holy days known as the Triduum, we receive Jesus’ new and final commandment: “to love one another as he loved us.” Love that was embodied in the selfless acts of washing his disciples feet and instituting the Lord’s Supper. Our livestreamed service at 7:00 p.m. will offer people the opportunity to participate in foot washing on their own at home, and includes the stripping of the altar and procession of the reserved sacrament to the garden of repose, beautifully situated in our cloister garden and open after the worship service for individual in-person prayer.
  • 7:30 a.m. - Morning Prayer on Zoom. Click here to join.
  • 7:00 p.m. - Livestream Worship
  • Garden of Repose - Following the conclusion of the Maundy Thursday online worship, parishioners are invited to come to the church campus and keep vigil in the cloister garden.

April 2 | Good Friday
On this most solemn day, when Jesus suffered and died upon the cross, we will have a livestreamed service at noon that will include the readings of the day along with the solemn collects and chanting of St. John’s Passion narrative. We are also offering three opportunities for small groups to walk the Stations of the Cross, outside, around our church campus. And the large wooden cross will be available in the churchyard all day long for veneration and prayer.

April 3 | Holy Saturday
As we watch and wait for the resurrection joys of Easter Day, we begin this Holy Saturday with the simple service appointed for the day, livestreamed through our YouTube channel. In the evening we will have a virtual Great Easter Vigil during which we will light the paschal candle from the new fire kindled in the darkness, recount the stories of God’s saving acts throughout history, and renew our baptismal vows as we prepare for the new life that will burst forth in us and in our world on Easter Day.

April 4 | Easter Day
We celebrate with joy the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is our great delight to be able to offer a number of in-person worship services throughout the day as well as a festive livestreamed liturgy at 9:00 a.m.
  • All Day - The wooden cross will be outside the church doors to be flowered and for prayer.
  • 9:00 a.m. - Livestream Worship
  • 7:30, 11:00 a.m., 1:00, 3:00, & 5:00 p.m. - In-person services of Holy Eucharist in the churchyard. Register here.
Remember loved ones or offer thanksgiving for important people in your life through altar flowers and music at Easter. More information can be found on our website.
