We are thrilled to be able to share that we will be going to Panama City, Panama where we will serve as church planters with Converge International Ministries and the International Baptist Convention (IBC). We are excited to join the community of LifeBridge International Church and serve as their Lead Pastor.

God's hand in our lives has been so evident through this entire process and we continue to be in awe as He guides us into this new adventure. The past few months have been compilation of assessments, trainings, and lots of prayer as we discerned God’s call.

In the beginning of September we had the opportunity to go to Panama City for a vision trip and experience a weekend there, meet some of the LifeBridge community and take in the sights this incredible Central American city.

We enjoyed getting to know some of the community of LifeBridge International Church during our Vision trip.

It was during this trip that is was confirmed in our hearts and minds (and upon returning made official with our sending agencies) that Panama and LifeBridge was where we were headed.

There were so many things we loved about Panama, but just to give you a taste:

  • The Leadership team at LifeBridge. This group’s commitment and servant’s hearts were so evident right away. They represent different countries and cultures which brings a unique and exciting dynamic.  It is an incredible group that we are eager to serve with.
  • Melting pot. This city is very multicultural. LifeBridge is an international, English- speaking church. That’s because over 20% of the population are expatriates (people living outside of their passport country). Panama City has a high population of expatriates since many large, international companies have their headquarters there.
  • Living in the tropics will have its advantages: Mangos, fresh fish markets, and warm weather.  Moving to a new country and culture will enable us to live life differently and we are excited for that change.

What’s next?

We are now in the process of raising support and we will not leave for the field until we reach 100% support.  This means that we will remain in the Newtown, PA area until 2017.

Praise and Prayers:

  • Affirming Panama.  We praise God for working in our lives over the past 2+ years and that we now know where we will be going to serve.
  • Support team.  Pray for the people and churches that will be a part of our support team (prayer and financial). That God would bring those people to us and work in their hearts as they partner with us.
  • Transition. The next days, weeks and months ahead are full of change.  Pray for us as we transition our of our current jobs and take on support raising on a full-time basis.

Stay Connected.
