There is never a dull moment with accounting software products and services and their continued development, so read on to find out the latest news.

It seems the Accounting Business Expo held in Sydney in March 2017 was a huge success and I have shared some comments from my partners below.

Like the Eagles and the Dockers the travel gets a little tedious so I am delighted my partners have acknowledged that there wasn't a lot of WA representation at the conference and they are prepared to share their feedback and 'SPECIAL OFFERS" with my client base.

Also 'WATCH THIS SPACE" for a new partnership that is developing with Inside Accounting, for practices to provide an in-house add-on advisory service.  You will be able to take on software add-on projects with background support from experienced add-on consultants and implementers and have access to a Learning Portal.

HowNow @ Accounting Business Expo

21st - 22nd March 2017.

The inaugral Accounting Business Expo was a huge success so if you didn't attend this year, mark it in your calendar for 2018.

With an upcoming release of HowNow 5 for on premise clients and the rapid development of the HowNow Online Document Management product there was quite a lot of interest in the Business Fitness stand.

You can sign up for trials of HowNow Online and HowNow Smart Workpapers and I can do a quick web demo to get you started.


I'm also on a mission to increase the WA/SA participants in the GBU polls and surveys and have included the latest result for our poll on succession planning for download.

Ron Drost reports on the Accounting Business Expo.

"The great message from ABE was how happy practices were to know that an Australian based company was offering an app. We had over 200 enquiries which was amazing.
 
I was also pleased to see so many practices that now understand the power of an app in changing the way their clients interact with their practice.
 
My observations from the ABE Expo were how quickly things are changing and that every practices needs to find a way to stay plugged in. The really risk is if practices don't keep up they will become noncompetitive very quickly."
 
We offered a free trial of iPracticeApps at ABE and we are happy to extend this to Inside Accounting clients. I recently met with Viv Brownrigg and Mark Jenkins of The Gap, providers of leading edge business development products and knowledge.  The Gap is a rapidly growing provider of on-line business advisory content.  Their goal is to help Accountants leverage their time by providing the full system to market, sell and deliver advisory content in a seamless and professional way.  They also provide regular workshops, on-line training, mind-set resources and marketing collateral that you can use to fast track your results.
