Dear EIT Health UK-Ireland Partners and Friends,
The past two months have flown by with the first EIT Health Summit, the UKI goes to Europe Tour, the Start-up and Investor Brunch, and the CEO visit & Bilateral meeting with the Innostars partners all taking place in short succession. You can find out more about these and any upcoming events, as well as pillar & CLC news, and EIT Health-wide announcements in the following sections. However, please join me in congratulating the teams from Ally Smartcare and Optellum – two UKI CLC supported start-ups - who placed 3rd in the EIT Health Business Plan Aggregator. Congratulations – we are very proud of you!
With the EIT finally approving EIT Health’s budget for 2017 just over a week ago, the Campus pillar is now accepting proposals for its Call for 2017 Summer Schools and Short Courses; with a submission deadline of 16 January 2017. And we are also already preparing for 2018. The Call for Proposals for our Business Plan 2018 was published on 19 December 2016. We are seeking creative and innovative project proposals in all three of our pillars: Accelerator, Campus and Innovation Projects. The submission deadline for proposals in all pillars is 12 April 2017. Those of you who are considering to prepare a proposal or are already preparing proposals can find partners at the Matchmaking Event, running 1-3 February 2017 in Uppsala, where 300 participants will have a chance to meet well-matched collaborators. Register soon, to make sure you don’t miss out on this opportunity. Find out more here.
With this final newsletter for 2016, I would also like to thank each and everyone of you for making 2016 a successful year for the UK-Ireland CLC and the wider EIT Health partnership.
Best wishes to you and yours for a wonderful festive season. May the Year 2017 be a healthy, prosperous and successful one for you all.
Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year!
CLC Managing Director, EIT Health UK-Ireland
