PCL is Advocating at the Capitol Today!
There are many things that we continue to advocate for, year after year, relentlessly and passionately. It's a wonder that Human Rights have to be fought for. Why funding is always just under what we need to carry out the promises we strive to keep.

Today, people we support, as well as other people living with disabilities and their loved ones are making their voices heard. Cutting the funding hurts people. It's not about having enough to go on grand vacations, it's about having enough to take a bus downtown. To have basic care. To ensure that people aren't living in unhealthy living situations.

We are also advocating that people who work in this field as Direct Support Professionals make a competitive living wage. DSP work requires a skilled professional workforce and should be paid as such. DSP wages must be significantly above minimum wage. The work that people do in this field is invaluable and should be rewarded.
Below are videos capturing testimonies by people we support, family members and employees in the field. 6 people affiliated with PCL, among many others, vocalized concerns and requests.
