Lake Erie is one of 5 places on earth investigated
in this documentary film narrated by Erin Brockovich
"There is nothing dry about 'Last Call at the Oasis.'" - Toronto Globe and Mail "However frustrated they may be by political paralysis, corporate trickery or plain human stupidity, none of them seem inclined to give up." - NY Times
Ohio Governor John Kasich, fond of saying, "Lake Erie is a Jewel," will give his "State of the State" address at the historic State Theater (see link above for location)
Join us to greet Governor "Lake Erie is a Jewel" Kasich and let him know that animal feces and urine equal to the sewage from Chicago and Los Angeles is burying our "jewel" every year...and we're sick of it!
We'll provide signs, but feel free to make your own.

We recently added a "Lessons from Chesapeake Bay" page that can answer almost any question you have about that important topic, such as:
Why do we point to the Chesapeake as an example for Lake Erie to follow?
Why did it take almost 30 years to get a real cleanup started there?
How did Big Ag, including the American Farm Bureau, Fertilizer Institute, US Poultry and Egg Association, National Pork Producers Council, National Corn Growers Association, National Chicken Council and the National Turkey Federation try unsuccessfully to stop it?
Is progress now being made?
And most importantly, what can we learn that will help us get Lake Erie cleaned up quicker?
