Dear Alumni and Friends,
Another amazing year at UF Law is coming to a close.
We recruited and enrolled the most highly credentialed and diverse 1L class in UF Law's history, and we welcomed three new professors to our world-renowned faculty of teacher-scholars. We also welcomed distinguished guests from around the world to discuss the most pressing issues of our time.
Our tax law program remains the third best program among all law schools. We continue to engage in cutting-edge research in the areas of social justice, environmental law, alternative dispute resolution, international law, race and race relations, and much more. For a broader look at the work produced by our faculty, we invite you to explore this collection of our scholarship.
In November, I was honored to announce our new Veterans' Legal Services Clinic, which will begin enrolling students in spring 2019. Our experiential and clinical offerings continue to be a critical piece of our education, providing students with hands-on legal training necessary to thrive in today's competitive legal market.
All of the above helps our students find rewarding and fulfilling jobs upon graduation. I am proud that UF Law ranks 16th in the nation for graduates employed in full-time, long-term legal jobs or pursuing graduate degrees.
I look forward to even more progress in the future. For now, thank you for all of the ways you mentor, hire, and otherwise support our students. Your year-end support ensures that UF Law will continue to rise.
