Dear Alumni and Friends,

We have made history. UF Law is now a top 25 law school and a top 10 public law school! UF Law ranks 24th among all law schools, 7th among public law schools, and 1st in Florida in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings released this morning. This ranking is our highest ever and represents a 24-point jump in our overall ranking since 2016.

Our Graduate Tax Program remains 3rd overall and 1st among public law schools. Our Trial Advocacy specialty ranking rose to 25th overall and 5th among publics, and our Environmental Law specialty ranking rose to 20th overall and 8th among publics.

Over the past five years, our entire law school community has worked tirelessly to move UF Law forward. We have:
  • enrolled our most highly credentialed JD classes, placing UF Law 15th in the nation among all law schools for student selectivity;
  • improved student diversity, with more than 30% of JD students identifying as racially or ethnically diverse and 23% of our 1L class being the first in their families to graduate from college;
  • welcomed 15 new full-time faculty members over the past 18 months;
  • unveiled a new Office of Career and Professional Development with four new full-time student advisors;
  • renovated 30,000+ square feet of Bruton-Geer Hall to create a new Student Life Center, Commons area, and Experiential Learning Hub; and
  • announced more than $55 million in new contributions from alumni and friends, including a record-breaking $20 million gift to endow a health law program.
Your support has fueled our success. Thank you for mentoring our students, hiring our graduates, and funding student scholarships and programs. We rely on your annual contributions to keep UF Law in its rightful place. Help us celebrate our 24-point increase to #24 with a gift of $24, $240, $2,400, or any denomination you choose!

Today your law degree becomes even more valuable. It’s truly great to be a UF Law Gator!
