Dear reader,
Here we present the first hDMT newsletter in 2017, full of new highlights in the field of organ-on-chip.
New partners
As of 1 January 2017, hDMT has two new partners. We are pleased to welcome
Welcome at the 2nd International Organ-on-Chip symposium
The École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and hDMT are happy to invite you for the second International Organ-on-Chip Symposium (IOOCS17). This symposium will be held at EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland on 2-3 May, 2017. IOOCS17 brings together researchers from different fields to discuss recent developments in organ-on-chip technology and its applications. You will be inspired by international leaders in the field of organ-on-chip technology:
- Nancy Albritton, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, USA
- Anne Grapin Botton, University of Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark
- Kevin Healy, University of California, Berkeley, USA
- Roger Kamm, MIT, Cambridge, USA
- Christine Mummery, Leiden University Medical Center, Leiden, The Netherlands
The symposium is a unique opportunity to meet these speakers, and interact with other international scientists in an interactive poster session and a ‘Meet-the-experts’ lunch. The annual series of IOOCS symposia is an initiative of hDMT. After a first successful meeting at University of Twente in The Netherlands in 2016 (IOOCS16), this year’s symposium will be hosted by the Institute of Bioengineering at EPFL.
The organizing committee:
Matthias Lutolf (chair, EPFL)
Albert van den Berg (hDMT)
Christina Mattsson (EPFL)
Christine Mummery (hDMT)
Dietrich Reinhard (EPFL)
Philippe Renaud (EPFL)
Janny van den Eijnden-van Raaij (hDMT)
More information about the symposium and a link to the registration process can be found on the hDMT website. We look forward to your participation and hope you will enjoy the symposium.
